A major commissioning ceremony was held for 100 newly built houses constructed for orphans and less privileged widows under the Family Homes Fund in collaboration with Ummi International LMD Kaduna.
The event took place in Rigachikun, located in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Distinguished guests from across Nigeria attended the historic and remarkable occasion, which was organized to provide housing for orphans and indigent widows in the state.
The initiative was carried out through a partnership between the Family Homes Fund, Ummi International LMD Kaduna, and the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
This collaboration reflects the commitment of both the state and federal governments to promoting social justice and improving the welfare of citizens, particularly the underprivileged.
In his remarks during the event, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State expressed his delight at the development and commended Hajiya Umma Sani, Chairperson of Ummi International LMD, along with all government officials who contributed to making the project a reality.
In her speech, Hajiya Umma Sani began by thanking Almighty Allah for granting them the opportunity to complete such an important project.
She expressed her gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his continuous support throughout the project and prayed for his success in leadership.
She also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Women Affairs for their compassion and dedication to improving the lives of women and the less privileged.
Among the notable guests present was Hajiya Karima Fatima Muhammad, who praised the Kaduna State Government for its commitment to the welfare of orphans and the poor.
Traditional rulers and leaders of various organizations also attended the event and offered goodwill messages and prayers for the continued success of the initiative.
