A prominent young politician from Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Abdullahi Allow Maigana, has announced his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat to represent the Soba/Maigana Federal Constituency under the platform of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC).
Speaking to journalists, Hon. Abdullahi Allow llow said he decided to defect from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the NDC in order to introduce a new approach to politics that would bring meaningful development to the people of Soba Local Government Area.
He explained that he had spent many years in active politics, during which he contested elections and held various positions within the PDP.
However, he said the time had come to embrace a new political path that would better serve the interests of the people.
According to him, the people have endured enough hardship, and his primary objective is to deliver sustainable development and improve the living standards of the constituency.
Hon. Abdullahi Allow stated that, if elected, he would prioritize job creation for young people, improve education and healthcare, strengthen security, and promote agriculture and livestock farming, which he described as the backbone of Soba's local economy.
He also pledged to empower women by creating opportunities for them to play a greater role in community development, stressing that he would not overlook the vital contributions women make to society.
He called on NDC supporters to serve as good ambassadors of the party by peacefully educating the public about its policies and programs with honesty and respect for the rule of law.
He further urged young people to remain peaceful and support the NDC in order to bring about the positive change that the people of Soba are seeking.
In his remarks, the NDC Chairman for Soba Local Government Area, Hon. Yayo, said the party would continue to work tirelessly, just as it had done in the past, to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
He expressed confidence that, by the grace of God, the party would emerge victorious.
The NDC Women's Leader in Soba Local Government Area, Molina Jonathan, also stated that women and men across the area were fully prepared to support the party because of its vision for development and improving the lives of the people.
She urged women throughout Soba Local Government Area to support Hon. Abdullahi Allow Maigana in achieving this goal.
Similarly, the NDC Youth Leader for Soba Local Government Area, Abubakar Raiyanu, affirmed that the youth would give Hon. Abdullahi Allow their full support, saying they were impressed by his vision and commitment to the development of the community.
The gathering reflected the NDC's growing efforts to strengthen its presence in Soba Local Government Area, with party leaders and members expressing optimism about gaining widespread public support in the forthcoming general elections.
