His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Malama Ummulkhair in Mararaban Jos after returning from Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Emir led members of the Zazzau Emirate Council to sympathize with the bereaved family of Malama Ummulkhair, who was reportedly killed by an angry mob.
Upon arrival at the family residence, the delegation was received by the Wamban Dokan Zazzau and District Head of Rigacikun, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani Zubairu, alongside community leaders and Islamic scholars from the district.
During the visit, His Royal Highness expressed his deep sorrow and sadness over the tragic incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to the deceased's husband, children, and the entire family.
He urged them to remain patient and steadfast in faith, reminding them that life and death are ultimately by the decree of Almighty Allah.
He also offered prayers, saying
"May Allah forgive Malama Ummulkhair's shortcomings and grant her the highest place in Paradise (Aljannatul Firdaus).
May Allah grant her husband, children, and the entire family the strength and patience to bear this painful loss. Ameen."
The Emir further appealed to the public to remain calm, allow the authorities to complete their investigation, and await the government's actions.
He cautioned against taking the law into one's own hands, emphasizing that peace, respect for the rule of law, and unity are the only paths to justice.
