Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed has been nominated by the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS) to receive a distinguished award for good governance and regional growth.
The prestigious recognition organised by The Best Strategic Media (TBS) in collaboration with the Presidency, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), is dedicated to celebrating outstanding public service leaders whose contributions have significantly advanced national development.
According to a statement issued by media aide to Bauchi state governor, Mukhtar Gidado on Wednesday, the award will be formally presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Sunday December 7, 2025 at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
Gidado added that Governor Bala Mohammed’s nomination is based on his effective, efficient, and people-centered leadership, which has translated into remarkable improvements in governance, infrastructure, social welfare, and service delivery across Bauchi State.
The statement said Bala led-administration’s commitment to inclusive growth, transparency, and innovation continues to earn him national and international commendation.
"During an extraordinary State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held on Wednesday at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi, members of the Council warmly congratulated and applauded the Governor for this well-deserved honor.
"The EXCO described the nomination as a recognition of the collective efforts of the government and the people of Bauchi State under the Governor’s visionary leadership," the statement read.
"The Bauchi State Government expresses profound gratitude to the organizers of the award and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to sustaining the momentum of progress, reforms, and development for the benefit of all residents of the state," it concluded.
