A grand ceremony was held for the commissioning of 100 housing units built for orphans and widows in need, under the Family Homes Fund initiative in collaboration with Ummi International Lmd Kaduna.
The event took place at Rigachikun, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and was attended by distinguished guests from various parts of the country.
This project is a special initiative aimed at supporting the less privileged, especially widows and orphans who are in need of assistance. The program was jointly executed by:
Family Homes Fund
Ummi International Lmd Kaduna
Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning
This collaboration stands as evidence of the government’s commitment to ensuring justice and welfare for all citizens, particularly those of low income.
During the event, Hajiya Fatimah Goni expressed her joy to journalists over the tremendous efforts of Hajiya Umma, the Chairperson of Ummi International LMD Foundation.
According to Hajiya Fatimah Goni:
"This is a commendable and exemplary act. Only someone who truly loves her community can render such selfless service. We must commend Hajiya Umma and the Kaduna State Government for this remarkable effort.”
Hajiya Fatimah also called on other well-to-do individuals to emulate such charitable and humanitarian acts. She further praised His Excellency, the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, for his compassion and concern for the less privileged, while wishing him and all those involved continued success.
In conclusion, she advised the beneficiaries of the houses to use the opportunity responsibly and wisely, showing gratitude to God and the government’s support for the betterment of society across Nigeria.
She also prayed for God’s blessings upon everyone who contributed to the project and for everyone’s safe return home.
