Bara Communities Laud Gov Mohammed Over 38km Road Project

The people of Bara and adjoining communities have commended Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state for initiating the 38-kilometre Bara-Hashidu-Tabule-Garin Malam Jule-Wanka road project.
Their commendation was conveyed by the village head of Bara, Alhaji Muhammadu Abdullahi, during a courtesy visit by an assessment team from the Bauchi ministry of works and transport.
Abdullahi praised the Governor's commitment to rural development, describing the road as a transformative project that has already brought renewed hope to thousands of residents who have long faced transportation and accessibility challenges.
He described the project as a strategic investment that will unlock both economic and social potential across the region, as contained in a statement issued by ministry's information officer, Mrs Aishatu Bamai.
The traditional leader also reaffirmed the community support for the contractors and the Ministry to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the work.
Responding on behalf of the assessment team, Quantity Surveyor Mustapha B. Yaya, director of planning, research, and statistics at the Ministry of Works and Transport, commended the community for their hospitality and cooperation.
He noted that their visit was to evaluate the final phase of the Bara-Wanka road project and emphasized that the initiative reflects Governor Bala Mohammed vision for inclusive and sustainable infrastructure development, particularly in underserved rural areas.
