Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria wins International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Global Aviation Training award as a training institution for the Six consecutive time.
This was disclosed by the Rector of the College Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismail in an interview with newsmen in Zaria, he said this recognition has put NCAT on a driving seat of the global efforts in ensuring availability of well trained aviation professionals to effectively establish more efficiency and safety in the industry.
Dr. Ismail said NCAT would continue to remain steadfast towards achieving full attainment of an ICAO regional training centre of excellence.
According to him the allotment of more ICAO courses to the College implicitly entails more finances for procurement and acquisition of the needed facilities and expertise respectively.
The Rectori also said meeting these needs are very fundamental to maintaining and propagating their national interest in ICAO.
He enjoined the instructional and administrative staff to be inspired by this award to offer greater contribution towards full realization of NCAT's vision and mission statements.
The Rector said prudent and efficient management of fisical allocations have become more necessary now than ever before in the College.
While maintainig that the ICAO commendation and release of more courses to NCAT is simultaneously an honour and challenge to the College.
Speaking further, Dr. Danjuma said NCAT has ICAO accredited programmes and NBTE Academic programmes.
He said, ICAO has instructors training which is professionally driven and NBTE has National Diploma programmes which is purely academic.
