Nurut tilawah school partners Azhar centre on education development

A Nigerian Islamic school, Nurut tilawah International, Zaria has partnered Education Development Centre for Azhar International Students, Cairo on the provision and development of education in Africa.

The visit which was at the invitation of the centre was attended by the Nigeria's school delegation led by Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir, Director, Nurut tilawah International School, Zaria held at Cairo, Egypt.

Receiving the delegation, Prof. Nahlah Saeedy, the Director of the Education Development Center for Azhar International Students, Cairo said the collaboration will go a long way in uplifting the quality and standard of education in Nigeria and Africa at large.

The International Islamic scholar, Prof. Nahlah Saeedy is also the Special Adviser to the Sheikh of Al- Azhan on International Students Affairs, Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies Al- Azhar University, Cairo and the Director General of Arabic Language Council of Africa.

According to her, the Azhar centre is ready to provide teaching and learning materials to Nurut tilawah school as well as other educational resources when ever the need arises.

Prof Saeedy who appreciated the commitment of Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir for running helter skelter across the middle east in search of educational support for Nurut tilawah urged him not to relent in uplifting the standard of the school globally.

The Centre's Director noted that education is dynamic hence the need for continues upgrade to tally with modern and global standard.

Recalled that during the visit to Cairo, Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir, Director Nurut tilawah International School, Zaria had paid similar educational courtesies to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Prof. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, second in command in the country's Supreme Islamic body.

Sheikh Tahir was also at the office of Director of Markaz An-nil in Cairo, Dr. Abdallah Yegit and his Deputy, Dr. Sabir Mushrifiy.

All the visits were aimed at collaboration in the area of education development and resource facilitation.

In his remarks, Sheikh Nuruddeen Umar Tahir Director Nurut tilawah International School, Zaria affirmed commitment to collaborate with relevant centres and organizations that could enhance education development to Nurut tilawah and other schools across Nigeria and the African continent.
