On Wednesday, 31st December 2025, the funeral of five additional martyrs who were killed by Nigerian security agents was held.
Muslim brothers, followers of Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), conducted the funeral of the remaining Quds martyrs of March 2025, who were killed in Abuja by Nigerian soldiers and whose bodies had been withheld for nine months.
However, after a legal struggle, the court ordered the release of their bodies. Last week, four bodies were released, and this week another four were released. During the collection of the four bodies, the mortuary released one body which they said had been in their custody since 2018.
Their funeral was held at the Martyrs’ Cemetery (Darur Rahama) in Zaria town, where after the completion of the funeral prayer, they were buried.
Those whose funeral was conducted include Shaheed Jafar Abubakar Saminaka, Shaheed Hassan Aminu Minna, Shaheed Ali Dahiru, Shaheed Mazlum Majhur, and Shaheed Muhammad Abdullahi Bangis.
