A veteran journalist, Malam Umar Iyale, who was formally with the African Independent Television (AIT), has been kidnapped by bandits last night.
According to eye witnesses, the bandits who were fully armed invaded Danhonu 2, a suburb of Kaduna state around 9:00 pm on military uniforms.
Though, the number of people that were kidnapped by the bandits is yet to be known.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Mansur Hassan, promised to get back on the said issue for confirmation, but at the time of filling this report, he never did.
