The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, graduated 25 students of the Standard Airframe and Powerplant Course (AP-34). One of the graduands (Mr Kingsley Oyiagbo) used the occasion to present his crafted Boeing 737 model aircraft to the College. Two of the students (Fadila Ibrahim and Peniel Obinna) graduated with distinctions.
The graduation ceremony took place at the College’s ultra-modern auditorium hall and brought together the top management of the College, staff, students, families, and friends.
In the opening remarks delivered by the Dean, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering School (AME), represented by Dr Balogun Sheriff, the graduating students were congratulated, noting that the ceremony was a result of the hard work they put in over the years.
Speaking at the event, Dr Sheriff said, “We are here today to celebrate your hard work, teamwork, achievements, and success,” while wishing the graduates the best in their aviation careers.
The course appraisal was given by the course coordinator, Engr Solomon Adediji. In his words, “The course started on 19 September 2022 and ended on 16 December 2025. The students were drawn from all six geopolitical zones,” stressing that they came, saw, and conquered.
He appreciated the Rector/Chief Executive and management for approving the necessary requirements for the smooth running of the course.
He also appreciated the Deputy Rector (Academics), Deputy Rector (Administration), Dean of Student Affairs, and all instructors.
In the closing remarks delivered by Engr (Mrs) Mu’azu, representing the Rector/Chief Executive, she congratulated all the graduates. In her words, “I congratulate you all for achieving this milestone,” she urged them to be good ambassadors of the College.
Mr Kingsley Oyiagbo donated to the College his handcrafted Boeing 737 aircraft.
The graduation ceremony was graced by the Deputy Registrar (Establishment), A. W. Yahaya; representative of the Flying School, Haruna Suleiman; representative of ATS/COMS School, Mrs Shiba .A. Bello; staff, family members, and well-wishers.
