The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Zaria Area Command, responded swiftly to a fire outbreak on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at about 09:43 hours at No. 100 gyallesu by wali street zaria, Zaria Local Govt., Kaduna State.
In a Press release issued by ASF Kamaluddeen Shehu, Public Relations Officer, said the fire which cause remain unknown, affected Five bedroom flat covering an estimated area of 100 × 100 metres, belonging to Mal Aminu Kafinta.
Following a distress call received from Mrs Sahura Abdullahi, firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene under the leadership of Assistant Superintendent of Fire (ASF) Aliyu Maina.
The crew utilized one medium jet and Grand monitor from Fire Appliance 195 to successfully contain and extinguish the fire.
According to the statements the timely and professional intervention of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby structures, thereby saving properties valued at approximately ₦25 million.
An eye witness narrated that the house was closed nobody was inside and there was no electricity in the house, he just noticed a dense smoke and later observed that is was a fire outbreak.
No casualties or loss of life were recorded
