The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB), in collaboration with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) Africa initiative, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, at his palace in Zaria. The visit was part of the Board’s ongoing stakeholder engagement efforts aimed at strengthening community support for the implementation of the TaRL program across Kaduna State.
During the visit, the delegation briefed the Emir on the objectives and progress of the TaRL program, which focuses on improving foundational literacy and numeracy skills among pupils in public primary schools. The team also presented the findings from the 2024/2025 endline assessment, highlighting the significant learning gains recorded among learners as a result of the intervention.
His Royal Highness commended the collaborative efforts of KADSUBEB and TaRL Africa in enhancing the quality of basic education in the state and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote educational development and child learning outcomes within the Zazzau Emirate and beyond.
