Bauchi Gov Confirms Brig. Gen Yake As New Gung Zaar Of Zaar Chiefdom

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi state confirmed the appointment of Brigadier General Marcus Kokko Yake (Rtd.) as the new Gung Zaar of Zaar Chiefdom with First-Class Emir status.

Speaking shortly after receiving an official appointment letter from the Bauchi state government on Monday, the newly elected Gung Zaar has pledged to provide purposeful leadership and promote unity among Sayawa community.

Marcus Kokko Yake expressed profound gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for the honor and trust, assuring that he would serve with fairness, integrity, and dedication.

He also called for the cooperation and support of traditional rulers, community leaders, and residents of Zaar Chiefdom to advance peace and progress throughout the area.

While presenting the letter of appointment, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Aminu Hammayo, congratulated the new monarch and urged him to uphold the laws of the state and the nation.

He further charged him to remain loyal to government directives and to promote peace, justice, and social harmony across his domain.

Hammayo described the appointment as a recognition of the new Gung Zaar's distinguished record of service and leadership, urging him to justify the confidence reposed in him by fostering development and mutual understanding among his people.
